Welcome to the Thimbleberry Class!

Dear Thimbleberry (Parent Infant/Parent Child) Families,

We could not be more excited to welcome you into the classroom on Friday, September 15th!  This year will be special because we have several returning families, as well as new families in the MCS community. There are so many things I enjoy about the Parent/Infant and Parent/Child programs, but my favorite take away is the community families create with one another from being in class together.

We will meet every Friday at 8:00am for Parent/Child and 10:00am for Parent/Infant throughout the school year. However, there are some dates due to conferences and breaks that we will not have class. Please check our school calendar on the portal for a list of these dates. We will give you reminders, but it might be nice to plan in advance!

For class, please bring slippers for you and your child, if they are walking. We wear indoor shoes in the classroom to help protect the children from outside debris and to keep our classroom clean. We will have a cubby space provided for your shoes and your diaper bag. For those children eating solids, please bring a small snack to enjoy at the end of class together. We are a NUT FREE campus, so please no snacks with nuts of any kind. Thank you!

As part of our program, we will offer parent education evenings every other month throughout the year. We look forward to gathering with you during these times and discussing the wonders of Montessori philosophy for the young child.

We look forward to seeing you on September 15th and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions!

Warmly,
Teacher Elizabeth and Teacher Caitlin
