Welcome to Spruce Class!

Hello Spruce Families!

I hope this message finds you finishing up your summer break on a high note and getting ready to slide back into that fall-through-spring routine. My writing prompt was to tell you a bit about my summer, however as I was a full-time caregiver for my grandfather during the past two years, that entire time felt like “summer” to me…so let me tell you a bit about that! My grandfather is a 94-year-old, World War II Navy veteran and inventor, and one of my most favorite people in the world. Over the past two years, I have been so very lucky to be able to take him to museums, go on road trips, play games, watch movies, and listen to his stories. While I wouldn’t trade the time we had together for anything, I am so excited to get back in the classroom and back to engaging with and nurturing your children!

I have been enjoying getting to know Cydnie and hearing her stories of the classroom and your children. Here’s what she has been up to this summer:

“This summer has been a blast! I’ve been working on my Montessori certification but also enjoying the sunshine and time spent with loved ones. I ended my summer with a family trip to northern Minnesota where I visited Canada, spent time on the lake, and met my husband’s extended family! Excited to return to MCS and greet all our new and returning students.”

Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions/concerns during this transition time; it can be tricky for everyone! Thank you so much for sharing your children with us, Cydnie and I look forward to seeing you all so very soon!
