Welcome to the Huckleberry Class!

Hello Huckleberry Families,

Welcome to the new school year!  We are so excited to be back in the classroom working to prepare the environment for the arrival of all the children.  There is always such delight during this week of preparation as we prepare new lessons for this year’s group of learners that will spark their engagement and joy!  It’s also a time where we get to connect as educators to talk about our goals for the year, our plans for our fall study, and to come up with fun new ideas to implement with the children!

Over the summer we did get to enjoy some rest and play. Teacher Elizabeth spent time with her family playing at the beach, walking the new family dog, and of course, getting to watch her children play soccer and skateboard. The highlight of her summer was traveling with a friend to a yoga retreat in Oregon where she got to relax, meet new people, and spent time meditating and moving!

Teacher Caitlin spent her summer gallivanting all around the Pacific Northwest!  As a mom of five, she spent her summer hosting family and friends from out of town for Indianola Days, tubbing down the Yakima with her children, and even went wine tasting with friends in Walla Walla! Her favorite thing to do during the summer is to be with close friends relaxing and playing at the Indianola beach.

While our summers were fun, we are ready for the shift to fall and to be back at MCS with the sweet Huckleberry community. Just a reminder, if you have not sent in a photo of your child, please do this before Tuesday, September 5. Thank you!

We look forward to welcoming you all for orientation on Tuesday, September 5th!

Warmly,
Elizabeth and Caitlin
