Welcome to the Cedar Class

Greetings Cedar Families!

I hope your summers were filled with happy adventures and good times with friends and family.

For me this was a summer to reflect, relax and explore a bit of Washington with my husband, Josh.  Our nearly-grown children shared some tasty meals with us, between their jobs and treasured time with their friends.  I spent lots of time in the open water swimming, playing music, chasing my dog and getting ready to lead the Cedar class for the first time this fall.  I also celebrated my 50th birthday in late August!

Kate spent the summer on Bainbridge Island appreciating the lovely weather and the beautiful surroundings with family visitors. She read several books, dabbled in paint and enjoyed the bounty from local farm stands resulting in quite a bit of pesto.

We look forward to the first weeks of school together with your children, building community and connection, learning about stewardship and care of each other and our classroom.  We will sing and draw, learn to ask for help, and focus on creating a peaceful, joyful and dynamic learning community.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

See you next week!

Warmest Regards,
Mary
