The Islander Earth Day Festival 2019

The 2nd Annual Islander Earth Day Festival is shaping up to be even bigger and better than last year! From food trucks and music, to crafts and activities, there will be something for everyone!

Stop by the Eco and Upcycled Craft Stations to create one of a kind projects you can take home, visit the Face Painters for a little “face art”, buy your spring starts at the Plant Sale, go “shopping” at the Earth Day Swap and find a new toy, book, coat, or pair of boots (and feel free to bring some from home to add to our collection), take your bike to the Bike Tune-Up tent for a seat adjustment and a little air in the tires, or head to the playground and play for a bit!

We will have entertainment throughout the day with music by The Olympic Girls Choir (11:15-11:45), the MCS Blue Sky Singers (12:00-12:30), and Anya Flanagan (12:45-1:00). At 1:15, the Bainbridge Children’s Librarian will lead a Storytime for all who are interested to hear a good Earth Day story.

We are thrilled to have both Kurdish Kitchen and Guaco Tacos with us as they serve up tasty food from 11am-2pm. We will also have a donation-based, student-run Bake Sale with homemade treats for dessert. Grounds for Change Coffee and Iggy’s Kombucha have kindly donated beverages to be included in the Bake Sale. We will also have the Bainbridge Island Metro Park & Rec District Smoothie Bike for a “blend your own smoothie” experience.

We will have information tents for local community organizations including; Bainbridge Parks Foundation KidsUp! Playground Renovation, The Orca Network, Kitsap Audubon Society, Weed Warriors, and the Kitsap Regional Library. There will be an Eco Education Station with informative displays about ways to “green” your home and two eco-themed baskets we will raffle off at the end of the event. A portion of the proceeds raised from the donations at the Bake Sale and with the sale of raffle tickets will go to our participating community organizations.

We look forward to seeing friends and families on Saturday, April 27th from 11am-2pm. The event is free and open to the public so bring your mom, dad, neighbor, friend, auntie, and anyone else who wants to celebrate Earth Day! Please park at Battle Point Park.

Visit our Event Page for more information. We can’t wait to celebrate Earth Day with our island community!

Thank you to our partner organizations & businesses!
