Celebrating International Day of Peace 2018

On Friday, September 21st, students and staff gathered around the MCS Peace Pole to celebrate International Day of Peace. Elementary students shared peace haikus and information about this globally observed holiday. We sang songs of peace and joined in a “wave of song” with other Montessori schools around the globe by singing “Light a Candle for Peace.” We look forward to our continued study and conversations about peace in the coming year in every Country School classroom. “May Peace Prevail on Earth!”

Together we sing                                                                                  Peace lives in our hearts
Our message unites us all                                                                   Peace is free for you and me
We sing songs of peace                                                                       Peace we give, we get
